Tea Party: Celebration and Giveaway!

I confess I haven’t made the recipe listed below, but I’m always on the lookout for tasty treats.  What better way to celebrate my birthday, Cinco de Mayo, than with a margarita mug cake?

I think making the cake in this mug would make it even better!

Now the giveaway: I would like to invite you all to my own virtual tea party (all mug cakes welcome!)

It’s simple – just leave a comment on this post telling me about your favorite tea and you might win a $25 gift certificate to your tea store of choice.  I’ll leave the party open until Saturday, May 10 and then I’ll draw a winner and announce it here on the blog.

Fine Print: All comments must be submitted by 10am CST on Saturday, May 10, 2014.  The winner will be drawn using a random number generator and will be announced on Saturday afternoon. Please include your email address in the comment form so that I can contact you if you win.  If the winner does not respond within 30 days, I will draw a new giveaway winner. The winner may select any tea store that has an online store for ease of gift certificate purchase and use. This contest is open to all readers regardless of location.

  1. First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
My favorite tea (so far, I’m still a bit new to loose leaf so have many more to try!) is TEAVANA’s Dragonfruit Devotion. It is an herbal tisane. Teavana describes, “Vibrant hibiscus balanced with sweet dragonfruit, guava and mango”

  2. Yay, Happy Birthday Laura!!! 🙂
That mug is too cute! And i’m going to have to give that mug cake recipe a try as well…
My favorite tea (lately) is Adagio Tea Fandom Blend, Watson’s Mustache. It is a black tea blend that really floats my boat…

  3. Oh, it is just too hard to choose a favorite tea! Can I choose a favorite category? If so, oolong is definitely my favorite. I haven’t had an oolong tea that I didn’t just completely love! Formosa Oolong from Stash tea, Maharaja chai oolong or Spiced Mandarin Oolong from Teavana, but I would love to try Orchid Oolong from Mighty Leaf!
