Crafty: Spinning a Shawl

Recently I finished a knit where I spun the fiber and then knit up the resulting yarn into a shawl. Even though I don’t generally process or dye fiber, I feel like when I spin my own yarn and then knit it I am involved in the process of creating a garment beginning to end.  Many cups of tea accompanied this process.

The Fibers: Spunky Eclectic, Dark Merino, Asteroid & Southern Cross Fibre, BFL/Silk, Seraglio

The Pattern: Quaker Yarn Stretcher by Susan Ashcroft
