Recently I placed an order with Capital Teas for some holiday treats. One of the teas I wanted to try was Figgy Pudding.
Figgy Pudding is a black tea with figs and Acerola cherries.
It is available in a variety of sizes: 2oz for $9.95, 4oz for $19.90, 8oz for $37.81, 1lb for $71.64 and 2lb for $135.32.
When I opened the package I smelled the deep rich aroma of the figs and cherries, which definitely reminded me of warm holiday treats. Upon tasting this one, I was a little disappointed in that I only really got the cherry flavor. It was a good strong black tea, and the fruit flavor was nice, but I think I wanted a bit more fig flavor and it seemed to be overridden by cherry. That said, it should be a good tea for these cold holiday nights!
I’m disappointed, I was excited about the idea of that fig punch.
Oooo that would have been amazing. I’ll have to keep an eye out next year for more fig teas!
