Drink Me: Adagio Teas, Vanilla Oolong

March 17, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

The third tea I received in my Orchard Sampler from Adagio Teas was Vanilla Oolong. From the website Vanilla Oolong contains naturally sweet oolong from Taiwan blended with natural vanilla. When I opened the package I immediately smelled warm sugary vanilla.  The taste was sweet, a nice mellow oolong under shades of vanilla.  This probably… Continue reading Drink Me: Adagio Teas, Vanilla Oolong

Drink Me: David’s Tea, Creme Brulee Rooibos

March 14, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

Another tea that I just couldn’t resist trying from David’s Teas was the Creme Brulee.  From the website it includes organic green and red rooibos tea as well as safflowers, marigold and caramel flavoring. Creme Brulee is available in a few different sizes: 50g for $7.75, 100g + free tin for $15.50, 250g + free… Continue reading Drink Me: David’s Tea, Creme Brulee Rooibos

Universi-tea: Loose Leaf v. Tea Bags

March 12, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

When I started my tea journey, I mostly planned to buy loose leaf teas to taste and test.  I still do have some favorite tea that I purchase in bags from the grocery store, or other stores and before I started learning more about tea I didn’t know what the difference was.  So now I’ll… Continue reading Universi-tea: Loose Leaf v. Drink Me: Tea Market Pu-Erh

March 10, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

The final tea I purchase from Tea Market was a Pu-Erh.  Some readers have asked about my favorite unflavored teas, so I decided to pick a simple Pu-Erh for review. Per the Tea Market, the tea is “aged with special health properties and early flavor. Chinese Penicillin.” It is available for $4.35 per ounce, and… Continue reading Drink Me: Tea Market Pu-Erh

Drink Me: David’s Teas, Love Tea #7

March 8, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

When I ordered from David’s Teas mid-February, one of the teas that they were promoting was Love Tea #7.  It sounded delicious so I added it to my cart. From the website, it includes Chinese black tea, dark chocolate (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin and vanilla), freeze-dried strawberry, and red rose petals. Love… Continue reading Drink Me: David’s Teas, Love Tea #7

Teashop: David’s Tea

March 7, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

I don’t remember who first told me about David’s Tea but I was excited to place and order with them. It wasn’t until after I had already ordered that I realized that they were located in Canada and it would take a little extra time to receive my box.  Even so I was pleasantly surprised… Continue reading Teashop: David’s Tea

Teacessories: Infusers

March 5, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

If you’re not interested in purchasing an infuser mug or using paper filters, there’s no reason you can’t brew tea at home in your own mugs. All you need is an infuser and those can be obtained at a variety of price points. The easiest, cheapest alternative is to purchase a tea ball. You can… Continue reading Teacessories: Infusers

Drink Me: Tea Market, Chocolate Mint Rooibos

March 3, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

When I visited the Tea Market, I really wanted to try a Rooibos tea.  One of the options is a Chocolate Mint Rooibos which boasts “a blend of age-defying Rooibos, vanilla, chocolate, mint and apples.” It was also so pretty! When I first opened the package I smelled the sweet smell of chocolate and mint,… Continue reading Drink Me: Tea Market, Chocolate Mint Rooibos

Ceramic Mugs

March 2, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

I love ceramic mugs. So much that I use them for even more than sipping tea. I was reminded of that as I cleaned out my craft room on this snowy Sunday.  I can’t give you details because this was a gift, but I’m betting it was purchased from a potter somewhere in Colorado: Rather… Continue reading Ceramic Mugs
