Tea and Cookies: Tea Bag Cookies

June 11, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

A while ago I was playing around on Pinterest and I came across these delightful Tea Bag Cookies from Le Petrin. Sadly the site is in French, so you’ll need some help from Google translate or you’ll have to get creative. There are a few photo tutorials, so maybe you can find your favorite shortbread… Continue reading Tea and Cookies: Tea Bag Cookies

Another tea that my sister got me from TeaGschwendner is their Blackberry Fruit Tea. From the website, the blend contains apple pieces, hibiscus blossoms, rose hips, elderberries, and blackberries. It’s available in a variety of sizes: 100g for $9.27, 250g for $22.03, 500g for $39.42 and 1000g for $78.81. When I opened the bag all… Continue reading Drink Me: TeaGschwendner, Blackberry

I decided a week or so ago that I really wanted to brew some iced tea from my current tea stores so I have a cool refreshing treat this summer.  Ideally, I’d like to brew a whole pitcher that I can keep chilled in the fridge and drink from over the course of a few… Continue reading Universitea: Brewing Iced Tea

For my birthday this year my sister got me a selection of teas from TeaGschwendner in Chicago, where she lives.   I decided to try the Windy City Blend first.  From the packaging, the Windy City Blend is a blend of seven sweet teas: black, green, oolong, osmanthus blossoms, sunflower, jasmine, rose blossoms, strawberry leaves,… Continue reading Drink Me: TeaGschwendner, Windy City Blend

Drink Me: David’s Tea, Licorice Twist

June 2, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

The third tea I picked up this spring from David’s Tea was Licorice Twist.  I know people have mixed feelings about anything that tastes like black licorice, but I was intrigued by the ingredient list. From the website, Licorice Twist contains licorice root, nana mint, fennel seeds, anise seeds, cocoa, candied pineapple, ginger, peppermint, nettle… Continue reading Drink Me: David’s Tea, Licorice Twist

Another of the spring flavors I picked up in my last order from David’s Tea was the Cool Cucumber. Again it appears I’m too late to post, because now it’s only available in the Spring Sampler as one of five teas for $27.50. From the packaging Cool Cucumber is a black tea with honeydew melon,… Continue reading Drink Me: David’s Tea, Cool Cucumber

Drink Me: David’s Tea, Blue Lagoon

May 26, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

This spring David’s Tea sent out an email with some new limited time spring flavors. Now if you know me, the key to getting me to buy things is to make it a limited edition. Some of the blends sounded so good I couldn’t resist, even though my tea room overfloweth.  One of the ones… Continue reading Drink Me: David’s Tea, Blue Lagoon
