Knit Night: A little bit of everything.

May 30, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

This week I have a little bit of everything to share.  I finished my shawl, I finished a quick instant gratification knit, and I’m starting a few new projects. First up, I finished my Albuquerque Sunset by Casapinka knit in Cascade Heritage Sock in #5633 Italian Plum and a Knitpicks Sock Blank dyed by me.  This was an enjoyable knit and… Continue reading Knit Night: A little bit of everything.

How is it almost the end of May already? I had several projects I wanted to tackle in May and I haven’t even started most of them yet! I have, however, still been on a finishing kick.  This past weekend we drove up to Chicago and back, and I managed to finish off the Cherry… Continue reading Knit Night: Too many things to knit, too little time.

Knit Night: Still in the sweaters.

April 4, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

At this point I’m really only working on two projects. I’ve made quite a bit of progress on the sweater for my nephew. I will finish the first sleeve cuff today, and then cast on for the second sleeve, which I will work on tonight.  I’m loving how this one is coming out – it’s… Continue reading Knit Night: Still in the sweaters.

Knit Night: All the sweaters

March 21, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

So even though yesterday was the first day of spring, I’m still in sweater mode. This week I had hankerings to cast on sweaters.  I thought I could tide myself over by casting on a sweater for my nephew.  I was somewhat successful in that I did cast on the sweater, and I actually just… Continue reading Knit Night: All the sweaters

Knit Night: Potawatomi and Handspun Sock

February 28, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

This was a week for finishing things! After I posted on Wednesday of last week, I went to knit night and finished the body of the poncho and picked up stitches for the ribbed collar.  Thursday turned out to be icy so I worked from home and, in the lulls between tasks and emails, I… Continue reading Knit Night: Potawatomi and Handspun Sock

Welcome!

Hi! I’m Laura. As a California girl transplanted to the Midwest, I fully embraced spinning and knitting to keep warm. My love of fiber arts has lead me to become a knitting tech editor, host of a weekly video podcast and a knitwear designer. My goal is to produce beautiful fiber projects and help other designers produce well-crafted patterns — free from errors!
