Drink Me: Tea Market, Lemon Basil Oolong.

April 11, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

Last time I went to the Tea Market, my friend and co-worker tried some of the Lemon Basil Oolong. She let me try a bit too, and I really liked it. So the second time back I purchased an ounce for myself. From her menu, the Lemon Basil Oolong is a blend of dark leaf… Continue reading Drink Me: Tea Market, Lemon Basil Oolong.

Teacessories: Kraken Me Up

April 9, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

I don’t know exactly why, but lately I have been fascinated by the designs featuring cephalopods. I particularly like this Octopus Travel Mug by sewZinski: I am totally smitten with this Octopus in a Teacup print from Society6: Looking for something subtle? How about this pair of Navy Octopus Tall Mugs by Jessica Howard: And… Continue reading Teacessories: Kraken Me Up

In an effort to try a bunch of different varieties of tea, I selected a rooibos in my last order from David’s Tea named Currant Affair. From the website, it contains rooibos, sweet blackberry leaves, blackcurrant and cream flavoring. Currant Affair is available in a variety of sizes: 50g for $6.50, 100g + free tin… Continue reading Drink Me: David’s Tea, Currant Affair

I got a couple more photos back from the shoot. I think these two are my favorites, along with the green one I posted on Sunday. What do you think?

Tea and Cookies: Norweigian Knitting Cookies

April 2, 2014 LauraLeave a comment

How cool are these cookies frosted to look like Nordic sweaters (courtesy of The Simple Sweet Life)? They are almost too pretty to eat while you sip your tea!

Welcome!

Hi! I’m Laura. As a California girl transplanted to the Midwest, I fully embraced spinning and knitting to keep warm. My love of fiber arts has lead me to become a knitting tech editor, host of a weekly video podcast and a knitwear designer. My goal is to produce beautiful fiber projects and help other designers produce well-crafted patterns — free from errors!
