Knit Night: A little bit of everything.

May 30, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

This week I have a little bit of everything to share.  I finished my shawl, I finished a quick instant gratification knit, and I’m starting a few new projects. First up, I finished my Albuquerque Sunset by Casapinka knit in Cascade Heritage Sock in #5633 Italian Plum and a Knitpicks Sock Blank dyed by me.  This was an enjoyable knit and… Continue reading Knit Night: A little bit of everything.

Knit Night: Finishes and Starts

May 16, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

The past two weeks marked a lot of knitting and two big finishes for me. First I finished my my Banana Leaf Shawl by Yuki Ueda knit in Northbound Knitting BFL/Silk Lace in Metallurgy.  This knit was strange. I stalled out on it, but never stopped wanting to wear the finished object.  I finished it while I was in Chicago… Continue reading Knit Night: Finishes and Starts

May 2, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

When Stitchcraft Marketing contacted me and offered me a choice of accessories from Lazadas, I opted to try the Multi-Purpose Project Caddy. Lazadas is an Israeli company, started by a knitter who wasn’t happy with the tools she was finding.  So she set out to design her own. The Multi-Purpose Project Caddy functions both as… Continue reading Review: Lazadas Multi-Purpose Project Caddy

Knit Night: Can I WIP it?

April 25, 2018 LauraLeave a comment

So I took April to work on projects that had been languishing by the wayside. I’m happy to report that I have been doing pretty well on that mission.  But…I still haven’t finished anything. And as the end of the month looms, I don’t know if I’m actually going to finish any WIPs this month.… Continue reading Knit Night: Can I WIP it?

Welcome!

Hi! I’m Laura. As a California girl transplanted to the Midwest, I fully embraced spinning and knitting to keep warm. My love of fiber arts has lead me to become a knitting tech editor, host of a weekly video podcast and a knitwear designer. My goal is to produce beautiful fiber projects and help other designers produce well-crafted patterns — free from errors!
